The Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon 2024 took place on a rainy early morning on September 22, 2024, creating unforgettable memories for tens of thousands of athletes. NSN is especially proud to have had more than 60 members from the NSN Running Club – Run for Health to spread the spirit of “Strides for an Outstanding Vietnam!”.

On this occasion, an NSN journalist had the opportunity to interview Mr. Hoang Van Chuan, Chairman of the NSN Running Club: 

Reporter 1: Since its founding, what positive changes has the NSN Running Club brought to NSN staff and the company? 

Mr. Hoang Van Chuan: Established on June 15, 2023, with just six members who shared a passion for running, NSN Running Club has over a year later, attracted a large number of employees. Participating in the club, members feel supported and get to share stories about fitness and other aspects of life. Running also encourages a healthy lifestyle, reducing alcohol consumption so members can perform at their best. The running environment has helped bring members closer, fostering unity across departments. Additionally, by proudly carrying the NSN logo to various events, the club has introduced NSN Construction & Engineering JSC to other clubs and companies. 

Reporter 2: How has NSN Construction & Engineering JSC promoted sports, specifically running? 

Mr. Hoang Van Chuan: After being elected as the Chairman of the NSN Running Club, I worked to attract more members through email and our company’s Facebook group, inspiring other employees with similar interests. To further the running movement, the club’s executive committee established regulations and an action plan, seeking sponsorship from company leadership and fellow employees. This funding supports morale-boosting initiatives, such as rewarding outstanding individuals, organizing running challenges to celebrate club and company anniversaries, and more. 

Reporter 3: What were NSN’s standout moments in the 2024 Techcombank Marathon? 

Mr. Hoang Van Chuan: A notable highlight in the 2024 Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon was the participation of 62 NSN members. This year, NSN participated as a company rather than as individuals like in previous seasons, competing alongside other businesses. Additionally, the NSN logo was displayed on the event’s media and on the BIBs of each NSN athlete, which marked a significant difference from previous events.

This year’s Techcombank Hanoi International Marathon, the third edition, was held on September 22, 2024, as one of the key activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the capital’s liberation. On the main race day, athletes set off from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, with full and half-marathon courses passing 39 of Hanoi’s historic landmarks, including Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, the Hanoi Opera House, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Bac Son Monument, and Long Bien Bridge. 

On race day, the NSN Running Club demonstrated perseverance, determination, and a spirit of overcoming rain and hardship. They ran not only to improve personal health but also to embody a shared athletic spirit and the ambition to build a healthier NSN and a more outstanding Vietnam. 

Congratulations to all athletes who participated in the 2024 Techcombank Hanoi marathon, especially the NSN Running Club – Run for Health. You are a source of motivation for all NSN members, contributing to a stronger, more passionate Vietnam! 

Founded in 2023, NSN Running Club has now attracted nearly 100 members who take great pride in participating in the race.
