Humanitarian blood donation program "Drops of loving blood"

On September 22, 2024, NSN Construction & Engineering JSC, in collaboration with Doan Khue Primary School, the People’s Committee of Viet Hung Ward, and Viet Duc Hospital, organized a voluntary blood donation event: “DROPS OF LOVING BLOOD.” This event highlighted the noble gesture of NSN staff, who joined hands to bring hope to patients in need of blood while spreading positive and humane values to the community.

Despite heavy rain, nearly 190 staff members, teachers, employees, and parents registered for blood donation and testing, with 162 successful donors. Under the theme “Donate Blood to Save Lives – Keep Hearts Beating”, the event contributed to increasing blood reserves and provided vital support to hospitals and healthcare organizations. With the Viet Hung Ward People’s Committee Blood Donation Campaign Steering Committee and Viet Duc Hospital overseeing the donation process, the program ensured that all procedures were conducted professionally and safely.

Ms. Bui Thi Thuy Luong, representing the Business Development Department, shared: “Although this is not my first time donating blood, I still feel emotional because I know that by donating blood, I may help save lives. Being young and healthy, I believe I must contribute everything I can to benefit society and the community.”

An NSN journalist interviewed Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh, head of the organizing committee, throughout the event:

Reporter 1: How does the blood donation activity positively impact NSN staff and the company as a whole?

Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh: For NSN, we focus not only on career growth and creating new value but also on improving employees’s lives. NSN proudly stands as a business dedicated to the community, actively engaging in charitable activities throughout our 20-year journey.

Through these acts of kindness, NSN hopes that every employee who chooses to work here will see that NSN is not just an ideal workplace but also a place to share compassion in times of hardship, whether within the NSN community or society at large. This approach allows each small act of kindness to contribute toward bringing greater positive value to those in need.

Reporter 2: Alongside the support received, did the program face any challenges?

Mr. Nguyen Duc Anh: While we had the full backing of the company leadership and enthusiastic support from our staff, the blood donation program met some challenges, especially due to the severe impact of Typhoon Yagi.

Despite these difficulties, the organizing committee adjusted the program’s activities to maximize its positive impact on the community and pursue a brighter future.

Reporter: Thank you very much for your time!
