“Vietnam Kyocera Document Technology Factory” Solar Rooftop Project - Green mission of NSN
On March 26, 2024, the Handover Ceremony for the main items of the Vietnam Kyocera Document Technology Factory rooftop solar power project was took place, marking a important progress to promote renewable energy transition of this factory.
The project is a Kyocera achievement and demonstrates the commitment and professionalism of NSN Construction & Engineering Joint Stock Company, working as an EPC general contractor of the project.
Since 2018, the factory of Kyocera Document Technology has become a key energy user, consuming more than 1,000 TOE and emitting over 5,000 tons of CO2 per year. This project, which aims to reduce emissions and increase the usage of green energy, is a neccesery progress in the development strategy of Japan's Kyocera Corporation.
With a total capacity of up to 6 MWp, the rooftop solar power system is estimated to generate around 5,700,000 kWh per year, reducing 3,300 tons of CO2 emissions, saving nearly 9 billion VND for the factory and providing sustainable electricity. NSN is proud to be a part of these efforts, contributing to reducing emissions and producing clean electricity for the plant.
The construction period is from October 2023 to March 2024. On March 26, 2024, it was officially handed over on schedule.
The project is divided into 06 systems, installed on the roofs of factories B and C, with a total installation area of 48,000 m2. We use 14,642 high-performance solar panels from Kyocera Group. The capacity of each PV panel reaches 410Wp with monocrystal technology with 2 glass sides to reduce the possibility of fire and explosion. This is a popular product with great performance, saving costs on mounting structures and auxiliary equipment while enhancing space efficiency. The battery panels are machined by robots, increasing product perfection, load-bearing capacity, water resistance and ensuring operation in all weather conditions.
The Grid-tie Inverter is integrated with a smart management system solution, providing smart monitoring and fast troubleshooting capabilities, remoting management and a compact design for easing installation. This is the leading technology in the solar power inverter industry and it is widely regarded as the most smart string inverter today. The project achieved an efficiency of more than 83%.
During the ceremony, Mr. Suzuki, the Factory Representative, appreciated NSN for completing the project safely and on schedule. “Although there were many difficulties in application for a construction permit, the issues were handled quickly."
With more than 20 years of experience, professional staff and advanced technology, NSN has maintained our leadership position in the construction and renewable energy project industry. We are always committed to providing the community with innovative, efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
The project demonstrates the achievement in advancing clean, green and sustainable development of NSN. We hope to build a better living environment.
