The first 35 MW Solar Power Plant inaugurated in Thua Thien Hue province

On October 5th, the inauguration ceremony of the first 35 MW Solar Power Plant – TTC Phong Dien was co-organized at Hoa My hamlet, Dien Loc commune, Thua Thien Hue province by TTC Group and Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company (GEC). Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Ministry of Home Affairs Nguyen Trong Thua; Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Ngoc Tho; the representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and local authority.
Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company (GEC) serves as the investor of TTC Phong Dien Solar Power Plant. With the total investment grant of VND 1000 billion, the 35 MW Solar Power Plant covers 45 hectares. Being kicked off in January 2018, the solar power plant was equipped with 145.560 solar panels, modern technology and devices. Solar panels will absorb solar radiation to generate electricity.

After 9 months of construction and installation, TTC Phong Dien Solar Power Plant operates and generates about 60 million kWh/year. This nearly equals to the yearly electricity consumption of 32.628 households in Vietnam. As estimated, the amount of CO2 emission reduces about 20.503 ton/year. The project aims to ensure the synchronous development of power source and network, safe and economical operation of the power system as well as investment efficiency. TTC Phong Dien Solar Power Plant was officially ran on September 25th, 2018.

TTC Phong Dien Solar Power Plant is located at Hoa My hamlet, Dien Loc commune, Thua Thien Hue province

In 2019, the Solar Power Plant will expand 38,5 hectares and provide 29,5MW to meet future demand.

On this occasion, Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company presented 05 houses worth VND 50 million each to disadvantaged households in Phong Dien district. (Photo below)
